Welcome to Troop 62's official website in McDonough Georgia.  We hope you will find these pages both interesting and useful.

Troop 62 provides a full Scouting program including many youth building activities during the year and a goal of having at least one overnight campout a month.  We usually meet at the Scout Hut every Monday at 6:30 PM throughout the year.

 Troop Mission

It is the Mission of Troop 62 to deliver the promise of Scouting to every boy.  Troop 62 is committed to a program that incorporates fun, advancement, recognition, and promotes youth leadership.

To deliver the promise of scouting, Troop 62 places emphasis on the Boy Scouts of America's educational program by incorporating its oaths, promises and codes for character development, citizenship training, and mental and physical fitness.

Our aim is to instill values in young people that will help prepare them to make sound and ethical choices during their life.  The Merit Badge and other programs foster growth that will also help them in achieving their full potential over their lifetime.

The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Boy Scout Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan  (click to see them), giving each scout a map and compass for life.
